The company “Koka” shpk has started the procedures for applying for construction of HPP Peshk since in 2003 and in 2007 selected as its partner the company “Shijaku” shpk to continue together the investment for construction of hydropower “Peshk”. The total investment amount is 5,500,000 euro.
“Koka & Ergi Energy Peshk” shpk is registered in the National Registration Center (QKR) date 27.06.2008 with identification number (NUIS) K88027901B, represented by its legal administrator Mr. Mehmet Koka.
HPP “Peshk”, was constructed in northern Albania in the south of the village Krasta, between the villages of Peshk and Gjon. The purpose of its construction was the production of electricity by using the waters Mat’s river between quota 709 m and 590 m by a derivation in a length of about 2.2 km, which traces on the right bank of the river. Water is taken on the bridge of the “Peshk” village to the point where are meet two branches which forms Mat’s river, Prroi Lena with it of Thekna. The powerhouse was built on the right bank facing the point where streams the torrent of Xixull in Mat’s river.

The implementation project of hydropower “Peshk” was prepared by two engineering consulting firms in the field of hydrotechnics, MURATAJ G.L shpk and HIDROMONT shpk, respectively representated by Ing. Hydrotechnical Zenun Murataj and Ing. Hydrotechnical Milaim Dokle.
Hydrological study was prepared by the hydrolog consultant Prof. Dr. Agim Selenica.
Geological study was developed by geologist consultant Prof. Dr. Nikolla Konomi.
– For supervising works is contracted Laluna-Projekt shpk represented by Mr. Lamce Begaj and in cooperation with company Nela & Co shpk carried out the design and installation of electric gates.
– Concrete works are carried out by Premium-Albania shpk represented by Mr. Kristo Kushta and ADNX shpk represented by Mr. Afrim Reçi.
– Construction of electric line was done by SH.SH.M.N DOKO represented by z. Arben Doko.
– For technical assistance in the substation is contracted Ing. Prof. Dr. Mihal Jorgoni representative from ABB Albania.
– Turbines supplier is an Austrian company Gugler Water Turbines GmbH represented by Mr. Alois Gugler.
Its subcontractors are:
Siemens Austria for electrical equipment and Hitzinger Austria for the generator.
A special contribute has given Prof. Dr. Besim Islami in cooperation with KFW Albania.
Hydropower “Peshk” has been completed and is put into operation in February 2012.
